UF AHEC Program Office


The UF AHEC Program is administered through the Office of the Senior Vice President, Health Affairs at the University of Florida. Established in 1990 to coordinate the development and administration of an AHEC organizational infrastructure throughout a 37-county service area, the Program Office today continues to actively facilitate the linking of academic health resources with the needs found in north Florida's underserved communities. The large number of community-based activities required in fulfilling these objectives are conducted by the AHEC Centers (see below).
